COMMUNE DE CHAMPLITTE
Champlitte,is an attractive town, full of regional character, in the heart of the Franche Comté, situated closed to several interesting and very appealing sites, including three towns of Dijon, Besançon and Langres. The town itself is right on the borders of 3 districts areas: The Cote d’Or region of Burgundy (famous for its wine), The Haute-Marne with its canals and open countryside, and of course, the Haute Saone unknown and waiting to be discovered.
Champlitte has a fascinating heritage such as its castle housing the museum of Arts and Popular Traditions and a contemporary building that houses the museum arts and technology of the early 20th century. Open all year!!

ORGANIC WINE
Our wines are produced naturally. That is to say we use organic methods.
We produce 2 types of red, 2 types of white and a Rosé
The red wines use the Pinot Noir and Gamay “cépages”.
The whites use Chardonnay and Auxerrois « cépages » and the Rosé use the Pinot Noir « cépages »
We also make a delicious and fruity sparkling wine « Cuvée des Follins » by following the traditional « Méthode Champenoise »
THE TRADITION
St-Vincent’s day starts with a warm, fun and wonderful procession that winds through the village. After the Mass, the procession makes its way to the home of the family (“Le prenant”) who will have the honour of looking after the statue of Saint-Vincent for the whole of the year to come. Of course, every one tastes the new vintage as its travel in the procession.
In the restaurant « du Donjon » we serve every 22nd January the traditional menu for the feast : Andouille (a large sausage typical of the area) and Tarte à la courge (Marrow pie).
An occasion not to miss!!!
